Nissan, the Japanese automaker stunned the world with the prototype vehicle named as the GT-R50 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in England in July earlier this year. It is very rare for a prototype or a concept vehicle to take its final form this quick but it seems that Nissan had different plans altogether. The production-ready model of the Nissan GT-R50 has been unveiled by the automaker and has been priced at a whopping € 990,000.
The supercar has been brought out in the world in the bid of celebrating the 50th anniversary of both GT-R and Italdesign. However, with the colossal price, Nissan must be knowing that the car would sell in limited numbers and has already announced that only a handful of GT-R50 will be produced. Well to be precise, the Japanese automobile veteran will manufacture 50 units of the GT-R50.
Nissan and Italdesign previewed the prototype of the GT-R50 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed with a grey paint scheme with golden strokes, however, the ultra-rich 50 customers will be able to choose their own colours for the exterior and interior finishes. We also understand that the same car will be previewed on December 7 in the Nissan Gallery in Yokohama.
The limited edition GT-R50 also features a revised six-speed dual-clutch gearbox, muscular differentials, and substantial driveshafts. Also making their way to the supercar are upgraded Brembo brakes a revamped suspension unit, and a continuously adjustable damping Bilstein system.
